Founded by George Miller, Miller Herefords began with a love for cattle and farm life. George bought his first Hereford as a 4-H project which is what spurred his deep passion for the Hereford breed. Shortly after, Miller Herefords was born. To this day, the tradition lives through his son, Rusty Miller and remains a family-run operation in full swing with raising, showing and selling Hereford genetics!

The history of the Hereford cattle is a rich one. Originating in the county of Herefordshire, in the West Midlands of England, the Hereford made it's arrival to the states in the early 1800s. Due to its excellent markings and hardiness, the Hereford has become a viable breed sought after across the globe. Today, it continues to be one of the most important cattle breeds in the US. Characterized by a stout, muscular structure (particularly evident in bulls) the Hereford is known for its rich mix of red and white markings. With its genetic history dating back to Europe, Hereford cattle are bred to thrive in temperate climates ranging from mild to colder, damper conditions.
